When you visit or use ListoPronto web, services, applications, tools or messaging, we, or our authorized service providers, may use cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies to store information in order to provide you with a better, faster and more secure experience, and for advertising purposes.

This page is designed to help you better understand these technologies, and how we use them on our websites, services, applications and tools. In this section we summarize certain important aspects that you should know about how we use these technologies. For more information, please see our full Cookie Notice below.

We use cookies and similar technologies because they are necessary for the operation of our services, to help us improve performance, to provide additional features, or to offer you personalized and relevant advertising. We use cookies and similar technologies that are only on your device while your browser is active (session), and cookies and similar technologies that stay on your device longer (persistent). You can block, remove, or disable these technologies if your device allows it. To manage cookies and set your preferences use the settings of your browser or device.

Where possible, we put in place security measures to prevent unauthorized access to our cookies and similar technologies. To ensure that only we, or our authorized service providers, have access to cookie data, use unique identifiers.

Service providers are companies that assist us in various aspects of our business, such as operating our websites, services, applications, advertisements and tools. We work with certain authorized service providers who help us deliver personalized ads to you on our services and on other Internet sites. Such service providers may save cookies on your device through our services (third-party cookies) and may also collect information that helps them identify your device, such as your IP address or other unique or device identifiers.

What are cookies, web beacons and similar technologies

Like most websites and applications, we use technologies that are essentially small data files that are stored on your computer, tablet, cell phone or other devices (generically referred to as “device”) that allow us to record certain information whenever you visit or work with our websites, services, applications, messaging and tools.

The specific names and types of cookies, Web beacons and other similar technologies we use may change from time to time. To better understand this notice and our use of these technologies, please see the following non-exhaustive list of terminology and definitions:

Cookies-These are small text files (usually containing letters and numbers) that are stored in the memory of your browser or device when you visit a website or see a message. Through them, a website can recognize a specific device or browser. There are several types:

  • Session cookies: These are cookies that expire at the end of the browsing session and allow us to link the actions you perform during that particular session.
  • Persistent cookies: These are cookies that are stored on your device between browsing sessions and allow us to remember your preferences or actions on various websites.
  • Own cookies: They are installed by the website you visit.
  • Third-party cookies: They are installed by web pages different from the one you visit.

Almost all commercially available browsers have tools that allow you to disable or delete cookies. You must set your preferences separately for each browser you use and each one will offer you different functions and options.

Web Beacons (also called “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”): These are small graphic images that we may use on our sites, services, applications, messaging and tools and are typically used in conjunction with cookies to identify our users and their behavior.

Similar technologies: These are technologies that store information on your browser or device using “local shared objects” or local storage, such as Flash cookies, HTML 5 cookies, and other Web application software methods. These technologies can operate in all your browsers. In some cases it is not possible to manage them completely through the browser and you will have to directly use the applications you have installed or your device to manage them. We do not use these technologies to store information for the purpose of providing behavioral advertising on our websites or those of third parties.

We may use the terms “cookies” and “similar technologies” interchangeably to refer to all technologies that we may use to store data on your browser or device, or that collect information, or help us identify you in the manner described above.

Your choices and our use of cookies, web beacons and similar technologies

We offer certain features, services, applications and tools of our website that are only available through the use of these technologies. You always have the option to block, remove, or disable these technologies if your browser, app, or device allows it. However, if you reject cookies or other similar technologies, you may not be able to use certain features, services, applications and tools on the website. In addition, you may be prompted to enter your password more frequently during the browsing session. For more information on how to block, remove, or disable these technologies, check your browser or device settings.

Typically, these technologies allow our websites, services, applications, and tools to store the relevant information on your browser or device and subsequently read it to identify you on our servers or internal systems. Where possible, we assign a unique identifier to our cookies and other similar technologies to protect them. The identifier is designed so that only we or our authorized service providers can interpret it. We do not store your personal data in any of our cookies or similar technologies.

All personal data that we collect and store with the use of these technologies is obtained upon notice and consent. We provide this clear explanation of how we use these technologies to obtain your consent and offer you the possibility to deactivate them, as already explained.

The uses we make of the aforementioned technologies can be classified into the following general categories:

  1. Necessary for operational reasons. We may use cookies, Web beacons or other similar technologies that are necessary for the operation of our sites, services, applications and tools. These include technologies that allow you to access our websites, services, applications and tools; that they are necessary to identify irregular behaviour on the site, prevent fraudulent activities and improve security; or that allow you to use our features, such as shopping carts, saved searches, etc.
  1. Performance-related. We may use cookies, web beacons or other similar technologies to evaluate the performance of our websites, applications, services and tools. For example, we may use them as part of our analytics practices to learn how users use our websites, determine whether you have used our messaging, determine whether you have viewed an article or link, or improve the content, applications, services, or tools on our website.
  1. Related to functionality. We may use cookies, Web beacons or other similar technologies that allow us to offer better functionality to visitors and users of our websites, services, applications or tools. For example, we may use them to identify you when you log in to our websites or to track preferences you specify, your interests or items you have viewed in the past, in order to improve the content of our websites.
  1. Related to advertisements or behavioral advertising. We may use our cookies and web beacons or those of third parties to provide content, including advertisements that are tailored to your interests, on our websites or on those of third parties. This includes using technologies to understand the usefulness of ads and the content provided to you, for example by recording whether you click on an ad.

To disable cookies and third-party advertising website beacons see the section “Advertising agencies and third-party behavioral advertising networks” below. Opting out does not necessarily cause ads to be no longer seen, but rather makes the ads you see non-personalized ads through the use of cookies, Web beacons, and other technologies.

If you want to disable all of these types of technologies that we use on our websites, services, applications or tools, you can do so by blocking, deleting or disabling them if your browser or device allows it.

Use of these technologies by other authorized service providers

We may work with other companies, commonly referred to as service providers, whom we authorize to install cookies, Web beacons, and other similar technologies on our websites, services, applications, and tools in order to store information with our permission. These service providers help us deliver a better, faster and safer experience.

Such service providers may use these technologies to help us provide our content and advertising, and to collect anonymous statistical and analytical data about the site. We do not allow any of these service providers to collect your data on our websites, services, applications or tools to be used by them. These service providers sign confidentiality agreements with us and are subject to other legal restrictions on the use or collection of personal data. Third-party cookies are subject to the privacy policies of the third parties.

With the exception of the use of these technologies by our service providers or other authorized third parties, we do not allow third-party content to be included on our websites (e.g., article ads, communications between users, classified ads, comments, opinions, etc.) that includes or uses cookies, web beacons, local storage, or similar technologies to track you or collect your personal data. If you believe that an advertisement or other third-party content is collecting your personal data or using tracking technologies on one of our websites, please report it here.

Third-party advertising agencies and behavioural advertising networks

We may work with third parties, such as agencies and advertising networks, who allow us to provide you with advertisements. These third-party agencies and advertising networks may use cookies, Web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information. They may also collect your device identifier, IP address, or advertising identifier (IDFA). Information collected by these third parties may be used to help us provide you with personalized advertising on our websites or on other internet websites. Third-party cookies are subject to the privacy policies of the third parties.
